I am a lifelong Hoosier and have lived in Indianapolis since 2003.  My professional education has been through the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy where I achieved certificates in Fund Raising Management, Fund Raising Leadership, and Fund Raising in Current Affairs.  I also hold the credential of CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive).  I also have a degree in Communications in 2021 from Ivy Tech Community College and currently sit as the Vice President of Resource Development for the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

I was raised in a non-denominational Christian home however my most influential spiritual experiences came while working for a faith-based organization who introduced me to the idea that Christianity wasn’t about “saving lives” and showed me the importance of advocating for those who have been marginalized by society.  I appreciate that CIC has a place for all religions to come to the table and support the differences and similarities of the various faiths in the Indianapolis community.

I live on the east side of Indianapolis with my husband and our dog.  I enjoy traveling, live music, and creating pottery.  I frequently daydream about retiring on a beach in the Caribbean and living the life of a beach bum.
