Explore the Baha’i, Zoroastrian, and Reconstructionist Jewish traditions with a lecture at St. Luke’s and on zoom and then take a field trip to the Baha’i and Jewish houses of worship.
October 5: Learn about the Baha’i faith: their values, beliefs, holy texts
October 12: Learn about Zoroastrianism and how it influenced our Christian beliefs. Don Knebel presenting.
October 19: Learn about Reconstructionist Judaism, one of the liberal forms of Judaism. Like Christianity, Judaism is not monolithic.
October 26: Visit the Baha’i house of worship, 3740 W. 62nd St., and participate in the celebration of Baha’u’llah’s birthday which is a holy day in their tradition.
November 2: Visit Beth-El Zedeck, 600 W. 70th St, see where the Torah is kept, understand how their building is designed, experience the symbolism of their artwork.
