Youth Summer Camp

Center for Interfaith Cooperation & Watch Club, Inc. are hosting Youth Summer Camp for two sessions in 2020, from July 20-24 and July 27-31 at the Indiana Interchurch Center. Students, ages 7-12, will engage in a variety of fun and educational activities will learning to adapt to social distancing and proper protective practices like handwashing, using sanitizer, and keeping your belongings clean and safe. We will have facilitators from Pakistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Sudan, and Japan. We will also plan to visit the Children’s Museum, 100 Acres Woods Art Park, Butler University, go swimming, fishing, and take nature exploration hikes.

What: Youth Summer Camp for students ages 7-12 years
Where: Indiana Interchurch Center, 1100 West 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208
(We are located on the north east corner of 42nd Street and Michigan Road)
When: Two sessions: Monday July 20 through Friday July 24 and Monday July 27 through Friday July 31.
Activities will be scheduled from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, before and after care will be available from 8-9
am and 4-5pm for an additional $10 per day.
Cost: $150 per student for the full week – $25 discount for additional children
$40 for individual days

Description:
Youth Camp is led by Keith and Brenda Turner who have combined experience of over 30 years in positive youth development programs. Keith and Brenda will be assisted by camp counselors and a staff who will introduce a different international theme each day. During the week students will learn simple greetings and how to write their name in different languages. They will also learn basic cultural, geographic, and demographic information about the countries introduced. In addition, students will visit the Children’s Museum, hike at 100 Acres Woods, Butler University, go swimming, fishing and engage in other activities that will include arts & crafts projects and nature hikes. Snacks will be provided, some will complement the international theme, however students must bring their own lunches.
