Pronouns – He/Him/His

I grew up in Southern Indiana, in the same hometown as astronaut Gus Grissom. My curiosity about the world and our place in it (and the desire to run as a collegiate athlete) led me to Franklin College, where I studied Religious Studies and Philosophy. It was there that my interfaith journey began. I helped form an interfaith student group on campus and attended Interfaith Youth Core’s (now Interfaith America) inaugural conference, a formative experience that shaped both my personal faith and professional path.

After college, I moved to Detroit to earn my Master’s in Social Justice and serve as an AmeriCorps member. I eventually found my way back to Indianapolis in 2014, where I’ve lived ever since. Along the way, I’ve taken nonlinear paths with roles across higher education, the auction industry, and venture capital spaces, each one teaching me something new and cultivating a foundation of creativity, hard work, and what it means to serve people no matter the job.

I’m a husband, a girl dad to three incredible daughters, and a believer in the “church of the long run” ritual on Sundays. I’m also a DIYer on our little urban “farm” with two Bernese mountain dogs, three cats, and five chickens, all of whom, somehow, get along.

A professor once gifted me a book with the inscription, “Keep the faith on interfaith,” and that phrase has stuck with me. I’ve come to believe that our encounters with others—especially those who see the world differently—are some of the most sacred opportunities we have to grow.

Joining CIC feels like coming full circle. It’s a place where story, service, and spirit intersect, and where I get to help make more space for compassion, collaboration, and curiosity in our community.
